Get the laundry out of the way, put it overhead. How many laundry baskets will you put up, one per person? Measure that length and width. Use cedar branches, lay a few short branches from east to west, then put long ones on north to south. Wire them all together. Put hooks in studs in the ceiling, hang the rack with wires from the hooks to the wired joints.

Just wondering is it likely to give me a cold/flu/make my immune system weaker if I sleep in my room tonight with wet clothes drying? I dont want to put my laundry rack in my common area of my apartment as my flat mates cook spices and these will stink my clothes.

I have v little ventilation in my room (I cant open my window as I have it sealed with shrink wrap for the winter to keep in the heat), and hence the room will prob get quite humid over night as the clothes dry… Not sure will that affect my health however???

                any ideas/suggestions/answers anyone?

                How "green" are you?

What can you do to save the earth?
I believe, it all starts at home and your personal habits do a lot to contribute the whole process. Having said that, I have challenged myself a lot to save the enviroment starting at home.

                1. After laundry, I hang my clothes on the dryers rack near the heat in my living room instead of running the electric dryer. That way I save energy cost and produce humid air indoors without using a humidifier.

                2. I found a job near to where I live, so I basically don’t need to use any transport and if I ever needed I always travel much in our great transit system in Vancouver. So I don’t drive, meaning no gas emission.

                3. I Vacuum clean my house once a week but the rest of the week I use a manual roller broom.

                4. I always make sure the lights are all turned off when not in use. So basically, if my family is in the living room then the hall and the bedroom lights are all off. Again it’s the way of saving and preserving energy.

                So what do you do?
